It's a project conceived in 2010 to give Italian young musicians the opportunity to obtain professional placements in Europe.
The Leonardo da Vinci programme provided the organizational and financial support for the first four editions of the project.
With the start of the new Erasmus+ programme, Working With Music goes under the aegis of Erasmus, while continuing to pursue the target of shortening the gap between education and profession, and facilitate the start of the professional careers of our graduates.
They are instrumentalists, piano accompanists, singers, music therapists, jazz musicians, sound technicians, composers, conductors; they are welcomed by theaters, orchestras, conservatories, academies, universities, festivals, hospitals, rehabilitation centers, churches, recording studios, music organizations.
During four editions, thanks to WWM and with the cooperation of the Conservatories of Music of Frosinone (promoter and coordinator of the project), Bari, Genova, L'Aquila, Monopoli, Padova, Torino, Trieste, Verona and the Institute of Musical Studies of Livorno, 127 young Italian musicians carried out their internships in Europe. With the new edition, and within a partnership that opens to welcome the Conservatories of Music of Cagliari, Pescara and Venice, 76 other young people will begin the profession with us.
Thanks to our WWM traineeships, they are given the opportunity to test their skills, compete in a new environment, geographically and culturally different, to establish a network of contacts, to get stronger both as musicians and as individuals, to become more aware of their potential and ambitions.
In short, to face the profession with greater confidence.
